Purpose
The Classified Professional of the Year award recognizes and rewards Norco College classified professional employees based on their contributions to our students, the college, and the classified body.
Who is Eligible?
All permanent full-time and part-time Norco College classified professionals are eligible. Previous recipients are not eligible to be nominated. Classified Professional of the Year Committee members are exempt.

Who May Submit a Nomination?
Any Norco College classified professional may nominate another classified professional or self-nominate. Nominations from non-classified professionals will not be considered.
When Will the Award Be Given?
The Classified Professional Employee of the Year award will be announced annually in the month of April. The 2023 Award will be presented at the Classified Professional of the Year Recognition Event on May 24, 2023.
What is the Nomination Process?
A link to the nomination form will be sent to Norco College classified professionals via email in February 2023. Any Norco College classified professional may be nominated, excluding the non-eligible groups noted above.
When is the Deadline for Nominations?
The deadline for nominations for 2023 is March 13, 2023.
Who Will Review the Nominations?
Classified Senate Classified Professional of the Year Committee members as appointed by the Classified Senate. Candidate’s names will be masked before review to ensure an unbiased decision process.
What is the Ranking Criteria?
The nomination forms will be reviewed and ranked based on evidence of the following traits:
- Professionalism
- Involvement (on-campus or in your community)
- Teamwork
- Outstanding Commitment (to students and/or college community)
- Inspiration to Others
