The Classified Senate shall establish both standing (permanent) and, when appropriate, ad hoc (of short duration) committees to assist the Classified Senate in the development and implementation of its mission and goals. All subcommittees are facilitated by a Senate Representative.
Classified Professional Development Committee – Coordinates the professional development for classified professionals and recommends policy and guiding principles for job skills training. This committee meets on an as needed basis.

Classified Professional of the Year Committee – Coordinates the applications and selection of the Classified Professional of the Year and future scholarship(s) for classified professionals. This committee generally meets between January and March to select the recipient.

Communications Committee – Coordinates marketing and communications for the Classified Senate, including the website, social media, graphics, Newsletter, and email communications. This committee conducts its business online.

Community Service Committee – Coordinates community service projects locally, in the region, and globally to provide opportunities for classified professionals to participate and serve.

Social Activities Committee – Coordinates Senate events such as Socials (Summer Ice Cream Social and Winter Cookies & Cocoa), Holiday Activities, Fundraisers, Classified Catch-Up, Classified School Employees Week CSEA events, Classified Professional of the Year recognition event, and more that are put on by classified professionals for classified professionals (not college sponsored activities). This committee meets as needed via zoom.

Shared Governance Committee – Coordinates recommendations for classified appointments to college committees and groups, representative responsibilities policy, development of leadership training process and pathway of classified leaders, shared governance principles, and other processes.
